Amber Armstrong

Amber Armstrong is a passionate CMO that thinks like a CEO.  She currently serves as a strategic leader and CMO for IBM Watson IoT.  As CMO, she leads all aspects of marketing inclusive of brand, product, digital, and demand generation. Armstrong is dedicated to the application of both the art and the science of marketing to improve client experiences through account based marketing and strategic product marketing approaches.  She serves her teams to inspire innovation, continual learning, and agile marketing execution. As an Artificial Intelligence (AI) enthusiast, Armstrong has focused her career in applying AI across customer experience, commerce, marketing, development, and supply chain across a series of divisions at IBM and other technology companies. Armstrong has a MBA for University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill. Amber is also the Vice-Chair of the IoT Community’s Women in IoT Center of Excellence.


Advisory Board

The function of the IoT Community, is to focus on the adoption & application of IoT in commercial environments, seeking to understand & contribute to applying the technology or overcoming the wide variety of barriers, inhibitors, and technical & operational issues. As a member of the board, Amber will provide impartial input and guidance to the overall vision, strategy and execution that is helping to shape the current and future direction for the IoT Community, as well as the broader IoT industry.
