The Internet of Things Community Announces Zuora has Joined its Elite IoT Ecosystem as an Exclusive Gold Corporate Member

Zuora Chief Scientist Carl Gold to present at the IoT Grand Slam December 11th

SAN FRANCISCO November 20, 2018The IoT Community (Internet of Things Community, the world’s largest community of CxOs and IoT professionals and practitioners, announces Zuora, the leading cloud-based subscription management platform, has joined the ecosystem of elite IoT thought leaders as an exclusive Gold Corporate Member. Zuora will work collaboratively with the community to address the wide variety of barriers, inhibitors, and technical and operational issues that accompany the IoT ecosystem.

IoT is moving beyond innovations around efficiency and into realm of considerable monetization possibilities. When companies can actually start selling the outcome that the product was purchased for, then the product itself becomes a means to an end. Companies today realize they must move beyond products into value added services — away from static product features to new and recurring subscription experiences. They have to create services that can learn and adapt based on behavior and usage. Services that can improve themselves autonomously. Services that can be truly customized. Zuora helps these companies monetize their new digitally connected services.

Carl Gold, Chief Scientist of Zuora, will present a general session at the IoT Grand Slam titled: This session will explore how many IoT companies pursue growth with subscription business models. While growth rates may fluctuate, and are susceptible to broader market trends, recurring revenue models offer sustained and predictable returns that largely avoid the volatility of traditional “boom or bust” product cycles. Attendees of this session will learn about benchmark growth and performance metrics for IoT, and how it compares to other core vertical segments.

“Having visionary innovators like Zuora join the IoT Community at Gold-level elite membership is an honor. We are privileged to have their expertise and leadership in the SaaS subscription space and we are elated to collaborate with them going forward,” said Nancy Shemwell, COO and IoT Community Advisory Board Member. “We are honored and grateful to have Zuora aboard.”

“Zuora is thrilled to officially join the IoT Community as we’ve been amazed by the results our own IoT customers have demonstrated. We look forward to bringing learnings from the Subscription Economy to share with the other industry thought leaders and members.” said Carl Gold.

“We are delighted to welcome Zuora as an elite Gold member of our IoT Community. Zuora is on the cutting edge of the subscription economy, and will be instrumental in community discussions about how to utilize, monetize, and profit from IoT. We look forward to their insights and expertise,” said David Hill, Executive Director of the IoT Community.

Bill Mortimer, Vice President of Strategic Marketing at Spirent and IoT Community Advisory Board Chairman said, “We welcome Zuora to our community; we look forward to their unique experience and perspectives on how to navigate the monetization opportunities that exist in the IoT landscape.”
