Maik Lankou

Maik Lankau incubated GTSaaS, a high-tech consulting firm in September 2016. The company grew very fast to over 50 Global Senior Level Consultants. Lankau leveraged his existing relationship with the financial
community to assist startups entering markets that would traditionally be out of reach for smaller companies and
advise on sales strategies, product enhancements and regional business practices. Prior Lankau worked as the Managing Director for Luxoft’s Telecom Business unit, where under Maik’s Leadership the company expanded its Telekom presence significantly through the customer acquisition of multiple tier one companies and major acquisitions in the USA to help this ITO company acquire a US customer base and grow their Telekom business globally. During Maik’s time as the Group Vice President for Danaher’s Communications Sector, he was task to build a large new partner ecosystem for Danaher’s Communications Sector Operating Companies, Fluke Networks, Tektronics, VSS, and Arbor Networks
In 2011 Lankau was the GM for JDSU’s new Packet Portal Division. In this capacity Maik had to take a new revolutionary product concept from its inception all the way to a successful launch. In 2008 Lankau became the head of IXIA’s Service Provider Business and Global Alliances, where he drove 2.5x growth in the telecom sector in a 3-year time window. He received the CEO award for that achievement. Prior to this, Maik served as the President EMEA and Senior Vice President Global Sales and Marketing for Allied Telesis, reporting to the Chairman of the Board, worked for Spirent Communications as the Segment lead for their core wireless infrastructure business initiative driving the SSE acquisition a product that Spirent today calls Landslide, therefore adding new customers and new revenue streams to the company.  Lankau started his career in the telecommunications industry with independent Test Service Provider “The Tolly Group”. Maik earned his Master Certificates in Business Management, Leading Small and Large Organizations, and Executive Leadership Strategies through the University of Notre Dame. Maik lives with his wife, German Shepard and 2 children in Wall TWP, New Jersey.

Advisory Board

The function of the IoT Community, is to focus on the adoption & application of IoT in commercial environments, seeking to understand & contribute to applying the technology or overcoming the wide variety of barriers, inhibitors, and technical & operational issues. As a member of the board, Maik will provide impartial input and guidance to the overall vision, strategy and execution that is helping to shape the current and future direction for the IoT Community, as well as the broader IoT industry.
